Tomato and parsley mask
This is a face mask rich in vitamin C, which refreshes the skin and boosts collagen production. To prepare it, blend together 1 medium ripe tomato and few sprigs of fresh parsley. Apply the mixture to your face and leave to dry for 20 minutes. Wash it off and pat dry. Apple and honey mask
Apple and honey are two great ingredients that are rich in natural goodness. Honey is an excellent cleanser while the juices in apples tone your skin and tighten the pores. To prepare this mask, mash together 1/4 of an apple with 1 teaspoon of honey. Apply to your skin and leave on for 20 minutes. Using this mask regularly will leave you with soft, well toned skin.
Bananas are rich in antioxidants and are an ideal source of vitamins A, E and F. When bananas are mixed with honey, you have an awesome anti-aging mask that will leave your skin feeling soft and supple. This mask can be whipped up in a matter of minutes by simply mashing together 1 small banana and a teaspoon of honey. Leave it on the skin till dry and wash off completely.
Green Tea masks
Many teas are high in anti-ageing antioxidants. Create a face mask by mixing green tea powder into brewed white tea. Another ingredient that works wonders with green tea is cocoa. Cocoa contains trace elements that are rich in antioxidants which hydrate the skin and stimulate blood flow. To make this mask, mix together green tea powder and 1 tbsp unsweetened cocoa powder. Apply to your face for about 20 minutes till it’s hard and ready to wash off.
Papaya face mask
Papayas are rich sources of antioxidants called carotenoids and the riper it is, the richer it is. To make a papaya face mask, remove the skin of the papaya. Remove the skin and mash it with the back of a fork till it is completely smooth. Apply to the face till dry. Wash off with tepid water and enjoy the goodness!
Turmeric and Yogurt Mask
Turmeric is an orange colored tropical herb that looks similar to ginger. It is known to have antiseptic and anti-inflammatory properties which make it an excellent ingredient in face masks. Mix 1 tbsp turmeric powder with yogurt to a smooth paste. Apply to the face and leave on for 20 minutes. Wash it off and pat it dry. Turmeric is known to stain, and you may find your skin looking yellow after applying it. So, it is advised to use this mask before bedtime. However, the color washes off and turmeric is an excellent remedy for removing scars and spots.
