What is Laser Facial Rejuvenation?
Laser Facial Rejuvenation (facial resurfacing) is a non-surgical cosmetic procedure to enhance and restore the texture on your skin. There are many cosmetic procedures that fall under facial rejuvenation, both surgical and non-surgical. The goal of all procedures is the same, to make you appear more youthful. These are signs of age that laser facial rejuvenation improve:
- Fine Lines and Fine Wrinkles
- Acne & Acne Scars
- Stretch Marks
- Pigmented lesions
- Post- Surgery Scars
- Enlarge Pores (orange peel skin)
- Textural irregularities caused by excessive sun exposure
Benefits of Facial Rejuvenation With ResolveTM
- Laser is focused to stimulate the fibroblast cells to create new collagen and elastin
- No epidermal damage = NO DOWNTIME
- More effective than CO2 lasers
- Accumulative results
- Safe of all skin types
How does Picoway Resolve Work?
It works by creating tiny open spaces under the skin where new collagen and elastin are built and can transform the skin over time. The laser handpiece splits the full laser beam into many tiny microbeams and this ensures even energy penetration over the treatment area to achieve consistent and effective results.
Resolve™ True Photo-acoustic Energy
ResolveTM is the world’s first Picosecond Holographic Fractional Laser system designed for facial rejuvenation. Picosecond means the laser is pulsed at a trillionth of a second and generates photo-acoustic energy. This means the laser creates injury with next to zero heat. This means Resolve can be used on all skin types even people those prone to melasma and other hyper-pigmentation conditions.
This revolutionary technology delivers the laser energy under epidermis and into the dermal layer where the most effective collagen and elastin can occur.
The ResolveTM laser is ‘fractionated’ – applied to the skin in a grid pattern – the unaffected skin tissue between the columns of ablated tissue ensures rapid healing and lowers risks. This means healing is in 2 to 3 days verse 10 to 14 days with traditional CO2 lasers. Faster healing delivers faster results.

What laser clinics is Picoway Resolve currently available at?
This treatment is currently only available at our Liverpool, Sans Souci & Hurstville clinics.
Normally fractional lasers exert most of their energy (10-70%) on the epidermis before it penetrates into the dermis. Resolve is different as the laser is divided in 100,000s of beams and the focal point is in the deep layers of the dermis. The holographic optics generate laser energy at such a fast speed Laser Induced Optical Breakdown (LIOB) is created and focused at a depth under the epidermis. The controlled injury triggers a process of repair, where new cells are recruited from the undamaged sections to repair the tissue and produce new collagen and elastin.
